Does the mood of the story change? How?
Yes the mood does change throughout the book. It changes because in the beginning Caitlin feels rejected and ignored because her sister leaves on the day of her birthday, and her parents ignore her and just focas on Cass. After a while of being ignored her and Rina join the cheerleading team and she starts getting out more and becoming noticed, and her mother starts getting involoved with her cheerleading too. After a while her mother starts getting too involved and Caitlin becomes annoyed with her. When she meets Rogerson and starts hanging out with him, she starts to feel rebellious, and dangerous. After they start getting serious she starts to fall in love with him. Then when he starts to hit her she becomes scared and afraid but she still loves him. This is how the mood changes throughout the story.
