The role of women in the theatre.

Although not everybody would agree, I want to argue that women should be aloud to act in theatre. I have several reasons for arguing this point of view.

My first reason is that it will cost less money and effort to buy or make costumes. For the girls could bring their own clothes to wear instead of buying or making them. They also are use to the dresses and clothes so they wouldn’t be tripping over themselves trying to move.

A further reason is they don’t need to be trained to act as a female. They have been a female since birth and their mothers have taught them how to act. They know how to curtsy, talk feminine, and how to walk feminine. They know how to carry themselves and having a female part played by a female gives an even better performance. They’d also give a better performance because they’re very emotional and could get into character a lot easier, and they might be able to relate to the play and get into even better character.

Furthermore having a female play a female part will create a better atmosphere. It’ll be a better atmosphere because with female and male roles there will be better chemistry then a man and a man. If they let women in to act in the theatre they will be able to have romantic moments where the actors kiss, without a female they wouldn’t be able to do that without getting nasty comments from the audience, and a very awkward vibe between the actors.

Therefore though some people might argue that women in the theatre are a bad idea. I think I have shown that there are a lot of good reasons for women to be in the theatre.
